When starting the MBA program I have to admit that exercising was not a top priority. However, as the first few months passed and the rhythm of the program began to set it in, Sarah one of the fitness gurus in class, suggested that we begin doing some group jogs after class. Our first run was along the sea wall to Stanley Park and back. It took about forty minutes and as soon as we returned to school I thought; why haven’t I been doing this all along?
The Segal Graduate School ideally located for those who would like to get a quick workout in between classes. If you are interested in hitting the gym, there are two within a three block radius. Both Steve Nash and YWCA offer a variety of classes (Yoga, Spin, etc.) at accessible times and have excellent showering facilities.
There is also the Chopra Yoga studio, which a few students from our cohort regularly go to. As I mentioned above the campus is a five-minute walk from the sea wall for anyone who wants to get out for a quick run or bike ride. Additionally, there are showers and lockers in the change rooms at Segal making workouts that much more convenient.
While these are just a few of the many activities that are located close to campus I highly encourage students to get out take advantage of being in such a central location!
